What does this fault code mean?
In vehicles with the blind spot information system (BLIS), a camera is mounted in each external rearview mirror. The passenger door module (PDM) supplies the camera on the passenger side. The control module has registered that the signal from the output is too low, and the fault is stored when the supply wire is short-circuited to ground.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable to the camera short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Test drive the car and check whether the passenger-side blind spot warning works
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the passenger-side camera is not short-circuited to ground (the body)
- 4Inspect the wiring to the passenger door and the connectors in the passenger-side external mirror for chafing, damage and moisture
- 5If a fault is found, repair the wire; if none is found, have a workshop check the camera
Symptoms you may notice2
- LED does not light
- A message appears in the information display
