What does this fault code mean?
The passenger door module (PDM) powers the folding motor of the electrically adjustable mirror on the passenger side. The control module has registered that the signal is too high when the function is activated, and the fault comes from the signal cable being short-circuited to supply voltage or having a break. Folding of the mirror then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Break in the signal cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Test folding from the switch and note which mirror does not move
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable to the mirror motor has neither a break nor contact with supply voltage
- 4Look for chafing and damage on the signal cable and check the connectors at the mirror for oxidation
- 5If a fault is found, repair the signal cable. If none is found, try a new electric mirror on the passenger side
Symptoms you may notice1
- Folding of the door mirrors does not work
