5 modelsS60 (2011–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–)
What does this fault code mean?
The control module in the rear door operates the window lift via a relay, and the driver and passenger door modules receive information about the relay status. The module has detected that the relay for the window motor up direction is active when it should be inactive, which may be because the relay has stuck.
Possible causes
- The relay has stuck in the active position
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then test with the window switches in the rear doors and check whether the code comes back
- 2Check that the rear door windows do not move up by themselves when no switch is pressed
- 3Check the fuses for the window lifts in the fuse box
- 4Check the connectors at the rear door control module and the window lift for moisture, oxidation and loose contact
- 5If you have diagnostic equipment, read the relay status in live data when no switch is in use and check whether it shows the active state
- 6If the fault remains: have a workshop check the rear door control module and replace it if needed
Symptoms you may notice1
- The electric window does not work, works with reduced function or works incorrectly
What the fault can affect1
- The control module activates the relay for the window lift down instead
