Possible causes
- Supply cable to the LED is shorted to voltage
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and run a test drive to see whether the blind spot warning LED works and whether the code comes back
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check the connectors at the LED and the door module for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the LED has no voltage when the LED is switched off, which would indicate a short to voltage
- 5If you have diagnostic equipment, activate the blind spot warning LED and check that it lights
- 6If the wire is intact but the code comes back: have a workshop check the LED and the door module
