What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) both send and receive information via LIN, a standardised serial communication method. On LIN bus 1 they communicate with the rear door control modules and the switch panel in the driver's door. The module has detected that a signal is invalid, which means the message does not match what is expected.
Possible causes
- The fault lies in the control module that sends the signal
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then run a test drive and check whether the switch panel in the driver's door and the rear windows work
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check that the connectors between the door modules and the switch panel are free from moisture, oxidation and loose contact
- 4Check that the cable between the door modules is intact and free from visible damage
- 5Have a workshop check the control module that sends the signal, using diagnostic equipment
