What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) send and receive information via LIN, a standardised serial communication method. On LIN bus 2 they communicate with the left and right camera control modules. The module has detected that the signal is incorrect, and the check is made with a checksum that shows whether the message is valid.
Possible causes
- The fault lies in the control module that sends the signal
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then run a test drive and check whether the LED lights
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check the connectors at the door module and at the camera for moisture, oxidation and loose contact
- 4Check that the cable on LIN bus 2 is intact and free from visible damage
- 5Have a workshop check the control module that sends the signal, using diagnostic equipment
