What does this fault code mean?
The control module in the left front door feeds the turn indicator in the left exterior mirror. The module has registered a signal from the output that is lower than expected, which points to the supply cable being shorted to ground.
Possible causes
- Supply cable is shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and activate the left indicator to see whether the code comes back
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box; if a fuse has blown, look for a short to ground before a new fuse is fitted
- 3Check the connectors in the left exterior mirror and at the door module for moisture, oxidation and loose contact
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the indicator in the mirror has no contact with ground (the body)
- 5If you have diagnostic equipment, activate the left indicator and check that the indicator in the mirror lights
- 6If the wire is intact but the code comes back: have a workshop check the door module in the left front door
Symptoms you may notice1
- The turn indicator does not work
