What does this fault code mean?
The control module in the left front door feeds the turn indicator in the left exterior mirror. The module has registered a signal from the output that is higher than expected, which may be caused by the supply cable being shorted to voltage or having a break.
Possible causes
- Supply cable is shorted to voltage
- Break in the supply cable
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and activate the left indicator to see whether the code comes back
- 2Check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check the connectors in the left exterior mirror and at the door module for loose, oxidised or corroded contacts
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the indicator is intact and has no voltage when the indicator is switched off
- 5If you have diagnostic equipment, activate the left indicator and check that the indicator in the mirror lights
- 6If the wire is intact but the code comes back: have a workshop check the door module in the left front door
