What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) continuously receive updates on the gear currently selected from the transmission control module (TCM). If the quality of that signal is lower than the module can accept, the code is set.
Possible causes
- The fault lies in the transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1If you have diagnostic equipment, read the codes in the transmission control module (TCM) first, as the fault is located there
- 2Clear the code only after the fault in the transmission control module has been put right, then check whether it comes back
- 3Have a workshop trace the fault in the transmission control module, as the source of the fault is there
