What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules (DDM/PDM) exchange data over LIN with the module in each rear door. The left and right rear door modules (LDM/RDM) pass the status of the window button on to the front door module. If the window button in a rear door is held in for a long time, the code is set.
Possible causes
- The window button in the left or right rear door is stuck in the pressed-in position
- Damaged control panel in the left or right rear door
- Open circuit on the signal line between the window button in the rear door and the rear door module
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then check that the window button in the rear door returns when released and does not stick
- 2Check the fuses for the window lifts in the fuse box and make sure they are intact
- 3Check that the control panel in the rear door is secure and that the connectors behind it are free from moisture and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the window button has no contact with ground (the body)
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop check the control panel and the rear door control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- The electric window in the rear door does not work
