What does this fault code mean?
The driver or passenger door module (DDM/PDM) continuously receives information about the car's configuration from the central electronic module (CEM). The fault is stored when this information is lost, which means communication between the modules has broken down. Fault-finding should start in the CEM, because the cause is found there.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, since fault-finding should start there
- 2Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 3Check that the fuses are intact; see the owner's manual for where they are
- 4Check that the connectors to the door module are secure and free from corrosion
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the central electronic module (CEM) and the communication in the car if the fault comes back
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
