What does this fault code mean?
The configuration of the driver or passenger door module (DDM/PDM) does not match what the central electronic module (CEM) sends. This can happen if a module from another car has been fitted without new software being loaded. The fault is also stored when the module's internal components do not work, and the code is erased automatically when the configurations match again.
Possible causes
- Incorrect configuration parameter
- Faulty module software, for example because the module has been taken from another car without software being loaded
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the fuses are intact; see the owner's manual for where they are
- 3If a door module from another car has been fitted, have a workshop program it with the latest software
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop update the software in the central electronic module (CEM) and then in the door module
- 5After the repair, check that the code has gone and that the windows work
Symptoms you may notice5
- Doors and child lock do not work
- Locking, unlocking and central locking do not work
- Door mirror electrical adjustment does not work
- Power windows do not work, or work reduced or incorrectly
- Door mirror folding and automatic adjustment (memory) do not work
