What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic: it may have occurred at some point but does not have to be present now. The phone module (PHM) has detected a voltage fault, including when the voltage in the keypad or the phone module differs too much from the voltage in the central electronic module (CEM).
Possible causes
- Half-burned fuse for the phone module (PHM)
- Defective wiring
- Internal fault in the phone module (PHM)
- The voltage from the keypad or phone module differs too much from the central electronic module (CEM) voltage
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the phone to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the phone fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box is not half-burned, since such a fuse can cause sporadic faults
- 3Check that the wiring to the phone is intact and that the connectors are secure
- 4If the code does not come back, no further action is needed
- 5If the code comes back, have a workshop check the phone module and its voltage
