The code concerns the loudspeaker in the handset. The phone module (PHM) registers that the loudspeaker signal to the handset has a short to ground, so the handset does not work. Hands-free still works.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the loudspeaker cable, from the handset to the control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check that the connector to the handset is secure
- 2Look for chafing or pinching on the loudspeaker cable running from the handset
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the cable has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4If you find no fault in the wiring, you can try replacing the handset
