What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) receives a crash signal from the airbag control module (SRS). The fault is stored when the signal has a frequency that is not the expected one. The cause lies in the airbag control module itself, which is transmitting at the wrong frequency, and this can disturb the phone functions and Volvo On Call.
Possible causes
- The airbag control module (SRS) transmits at a frequency that is not the expected one
What you can do
- 1The airbag system is a safety system. Do not work on it yourself; have a workshop read the airbag control module (SRS)
- 2Rectify any fault codes stored in the airbag control module first, as they may be related to this fault
- 3If the wire to the telephone module is damaged it must be replaced, which a workshop should do
- 4After the repair: clear the code and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice3
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Volvo On Call does not work as it should
