What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) receives a crash signal from the airbag control module (SRS). The fault is stored when the crash signal has a frequency that is not the expected one. The fault lies in the signal sent by the airbag system and can disturb Volvo On Call and the phone functions in the car.
Possible causes
- The airbag control module (SRS) transmits at a frequency that is not the expected one
What you can do
- 1The airbag system is a safety system. Do not work on it yourself; have a workshop read the airbag control module (SRS)
- 2First check whether the airbag control module has stored fault codes, as these should be rectified before this code
- 3If the wire is damaged it must be replaced, which a workshop does
- 4After the repair: clear the code and check that it does not come back
Symptoms you may notice3
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Volvo On Call does not work as it should
