What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) checks the SOS On Call switch circuit, but the control signal has an incorrect value. The fault comes from the parts not matching the car's equipment: SOS On Call switches have been fitted in a car that should not have that function, or a telephone module without SOS On Call has been installed in a car that should have it.
Possible causes
- The SOS On Call switches are wrongly fitted in a car that has a telephone module without the SOS On Call function
- The telephone module without the SOS On Call function is wrongly fitted in a car that should be equipped with SOS On Call
What you can do
- 1Check that the right equipment is fitted in the car. The equipment the car should have is listed in its documentation or can be confirmed by a workshop
- 2If the car lacks Volvo On Call, the console switches should be removed, which a workshop does
- 3Check that the wiring to the switches is firmly connected and not chafed anywhere
- 4After the work: clear the code and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice2
- Volvo On Call does not work as it should
- The phone functions in the car do not work as they should
