What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) checks the internal SIM card, which is used only for the Volvo On Call services. The fault is stored when the SIM card cannot be read, for example when it is not inserted in the reader, when the reader does not work or when a PUK code is missing.
Possible causes
- The SIM card is not seated in the reader
- The SIM card reader does not work
- A PUK code is missing for the SIM card
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Clear the code and road test the car. If it returns, a workshop should read the telephone module with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault remains after this check, the telephone module needs replacing, which a workshop does
