The telephone module (PHM) controls the integrated GSM/GPRS unit, which handles the mobile connection. The fault is stored when the module sees an incorrect value in the control signal or cannot communicate with the GSM/GPRS unit. The cause is a software fault or an internal fault in the telephone module.
Possible causes
- Software fault in the control module
- Internal fault in the telephone module (PHM)
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Clear the code and check whether it returns after a road test
- 3If it returns, a workshop should update the software in the telephone module, and replace the module if the fault remains
- 4If the code comes back, a workshop with diagnostic equipment can read it to establish whether the cause is the software or the unit
