What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) monitors the power feed to the back-up microphone in the internal back-up system. The fault is stored when that feed is short-circuited to ground or has a break, and then Volvo On Call and the phone functions can be affected.
Possible causes
- The back-up microphone is short-circuited to ground or has an open circuit
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Road test the car and try calls and Volvo On Call to see whether the fault remains
- 3Clear the code. If it returns, a workshop should read the back-up system and check the feed with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice3
