What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) checks the power supply to the handset. The fault is stored when that supply is short-circuited to supply voltage, and then only hands-free works. The fault lies in the cable that feeds power to the handset from the telephone module.
Possible causes
- The cable feeding power to the handset from the telephone module (PHM) is short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Start with the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Check that the connector in the handset is fully engaged and that the cable is not chafed or pinched
- 3A multimeter can show whether the cable from the telephone module to the handset touches positive. Without electrical experience, leave this to a workshop
- 4Clear the code and try the handset again. If the fault returns, a workshop should check the cable
