What does this fault code mean?
The USB interface between the telephone module (PHM) and the infotainment head unit (IHU) does not work as it should, because the software does not match. The fault is stored when communication on the bus to the head unit is lost after the USB link has been set up. The phone and Volvo On Call can then work poorly or not at all.
Possible causes
- The USB interface is not compatible with the intended software
- The head unit did not start up properly
- Faulty software in the telephone module (PHM)
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Restart the car and check whether the phone connects to the car's system again
- 3If the fault returns, a workshop should read and update the software in the telephone module and the head unit, as this is a programming task
