What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) checks the power supply to the back-up speaker. The fault is stored when the speaker circuit is short-circuited to ground. The phone can then stop working, and Volvo On Call can be affected.
Possible causes
- The speaker circuit is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Clear the code and road test the car, then check whether the phone works, for example with a test call
- 3With a multimeter you can check that the wire to the back-up speaker has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4If the fault remains after these checks, the telephone module needs replacing, which a workshop does
