What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) checks the power supply to the back-up speaker. The fault is stored when the speaker circuit is open, meaning it has a break. The phone and Volvo On Call can then have limited function.
Possible causes
- The speaker circuit is open
What you can do
- 1Check the fuses in the fuse box. Their locations are shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2After a road test, try the phone and Volvo On Call and note whether the functions are missing
- 3Look for breaks and loose connectors on the wire to the back-up speaker
- 4If the fault remains after this check, have a workshop read the code with diagnostic equipment and decide whether the telephone module must be replaced
