PHM-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Phone Module (PHM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The telephone module (PHM) compares its own voltage with the voltage from the central electronics control module (CEM). The fault is stored when the values do not agree. It only matters if it has been active for a long time and you notice that a function is not working, because contact problems or a damaged supply wire can then be the cause.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in connections
- Damaged wire for the power supply
What you can do
- 1If the code has been set only once and the car works as it should, no action is needed beyond clearing it
- 2If the code is active for a long time and you notice functions missing, check the fuses and the connectors at the telephone module and the central electronics control module
- 3Look for corrosion, loose connectors and chafed supply wires
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment measure the supply voltage to the telephone module
Symptoms you may notice4
- The phone has no function or reduced function
- Volvo On Call has no function or reduced function
- The mobile phone does not work
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
