What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) measures the voltage on the control valve for the hydraulic proportional valve and has found the signal too low. The fault lies in the control valve cable, which either touches ground or is broken.
Possible causes
- Control valve cable touching ground or broken
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 2Read off and clear the fault code, test drive and see whether it returns
- 3Use a multimeter to check whether the cable to the control valve has contact with ground or a break
- 4Check that the connectors at the control valve and the control module are firmly seated and free from corrosion
- 5If the cable is intact: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control valve
