What does this fault code mean?
This code is an information code and does not in itself mean that the control module is faulty. The control module has registered water inside the steering gear just before it would be at risk of freezing, and the electric motor in the steering gear then vibrates to prevent it from freezing.

- Damaged power steering control module (PSCM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and see whether it comes back
- 2Check for signs of water at the steering gear, such as damp areas or leaks under the car
- 3Have a workshop check the steering gear and the control module if the fault returns
- 4Safety note: steering is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out the checks on the steering gear
