What does this fault code mean?
The power steering gets torque data from the engine control module (ECM) that it judges to be wrong. The code indicates that the fault lies in another control module, so the fault search starts there.

- Fault in the control module that sends the information
What you can do
- 1Trace the engine control module (ECM) first, since the fault lies there
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read off the fault codes in the engine control module and fix them first
- 3Clear the fault code only once the root fault has been fixed
- 4Check that the connectors in the power steering are clean and firmly connected
- 5Safety note: steering is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out the fault search if the anti-spin still does not work
