What does this fault code mean?
The control module has not received the vehicle configuration from the central electronic module (CEM), and the fault is stored when it is missing. Until the configuration arrives, the control module is not configured for the car.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM), which sends the vehicle configuration
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, note it and clear it
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Road test the car and note whether the power steering behaves abnormally
- 4If the fault comes back, have a workshop read the central electronic module (CEM), since the configuration is sent from there
- 5Steering is a safety system: have a workshop check the car if the steering feels abnormal
