What does this fault code mean?
The control module has detected an internal memory fault: the check value for its calibration data does not match after the information has been stored. The fault lies in the control module itself and is stored while it is present.
Possible causes
- Internal memory fault in the control module
- Software fault in the control module
- Damaged power steering control module (PSCM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2If it returns, have a workshop load the control module with the latest software
- 3If that does not clear the fault, have a workshop replace the power steering control module
- 4Steering is a safety system: have a workshop check the car if the steering feels abnormal
