Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
7 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)

What does this fault code mean?
The control module checks its own system voltage by comparing it with the voltage that the central electronic module (CEM) sends over the CAN network. The fault is stored when the value is incorrect for a longer period.
Possible causes
- Voltage supply wire shorted to ground
- Voltage supply wire shorted to voltage
- Contact resistance or oxidation in connectors and connections
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code and clear it
- 2If the fault has not been active for a longer time and no function is lost, clear it and leave it at that
- 3If the fault has been active for a longer time or a function is lost, check that the fuses are intact and that the supply connectors are secure
- 4If the fault remains and a function is affected, have a workshop check the voltage supply and the central electronic module (CEM)
- 5Steering is a safety system: have a workshop check the car if the steering feels abnormal
Symptoms you may notice1
- No symptoms noticeable to the driver
