Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (3)
What does this fault code mean?
The left front seat module (PSL) receives no Hall sensor pulse from motor 3, which raises and lowers the rear edge of the seat. The fault is stored when the pulse is missing while the motor is activated.
Possible causes
- Damaged Hall sensor in motor 3
- Signal wire shorted to ground or supply voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire to the Hall sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and raise and lower the rear edge of the seat to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read Hall sensor 3 in live data and check that the value counts up and down as the seat's rear edge is raised and lowered
- 3Check that the connector to the seat height motor at the rear edge is secure and clean
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the Hall sensor is continuous and not shorted to ground or supply voltage
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the motor and Hall sensor for the rear edge height
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic operation of the seat or mirrors does not work
