What does this fault code mean?
The left front seat module (PSL) registers an incorrect reading from the Hall sensor in the backrest, and the fault code is set then. Backrest movement may therefore work worse than normal.
Possible causes
- Damaged Hall sensor in the backrest
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and run the backrest to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: check in live data that the Hall sensor value changes smoothly as the backrest is tilted forwards and backwards
- 3Check the connector at the backrest Hall sensor: it should be secure and free from oxidation
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the Hall sensor and then initialise the seat
- 5After the work, test the backrest tilt in both directions and check that it works normally
Symptoms you may notice1
- Seat functions work worse than normal
