What does this fault code mean?
The seat control module (PSL) compares its configuration ID with the configuration that the central electronic module (CEM) sends on the CAN network. The fault code is set when they do not match, or when communication with the CEM is interrupted.
Possible causes
- Wrong configuration ID because the module is not intended for this car, for example a used module with different software or hardware
- Open circuit in the CAN wires between the module and the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in all control modules; if other fault codes exist, deal with them first, as they are often the cause
- 2Check that the connectors in the CAN network to the module are secure and free from corrosion
- 3If the module was replaced with a used one, have a workshop check that it suits this car and load the correct software into it
- 4If the fault remains after the above, have a workshop update the control module to the newest software
Symptoms you may notice4
- The remote control cannot operate the seat
- Automatic operation of the seat and mirrors does not work
- Seat functions work worse than normal
- Memory buttons do not work
