What does this fault code mean?
The fault code means the power seat module (PSM) measures too low a voltage on one of the signal cables M1, M2, M3, M4 or MC. This indicates that the cable is short-circuited to ground. Automatic seat operation then does not work.
Possible causes
- Short to ground on the M1, M2, M3, M4 or MC line
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and run the seat to see whether it returns.
- 2Check that the connectors to the seat control module and the motors are firmly seated and free from corrosion.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that signal cables M1 to M4 and MC have no contact with ground (the body).
- 4Replace the damaged signal cable if you have found a short-circuit.
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the control module.
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic seat operation does not work
