This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsS60 (2001–2009), S80 (1999–2006), V70 (2000–2008), V70 XC / XC70 (2001–2007), XC90 (2003–)
What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent: the M1+ button for forward seat length adjustment has on an earlier occasion been held in longer than allowed, but the fault is not present now. The operation button then does not function.
Possible causes
- Button M1+ has jammed in the pressed position
- Defective control panel
What you can do
- 1Check that button M1+ has not jammed in the pressed position and that it returns when you release it.
- 2Check that the control panel connector is firmly seated and free from corrosion, and that the wiring has not chafed.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire to button M1+ has no contact with ground (the body).
- 4Move the wiring to the control panel gently while you press the button. If the button sticks or the fault code returns, the connection is suspect.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the control panel.
