The fault is intermittent: the control module has on an earlier occasion registered signal pulses from Hall sensor 4 although motor 4 was switched off. The fault is not present now. Automatic seat operation then does not work.
Possible causes
- Defective Hall sensor 4
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and check whether it returns when the seat is run.
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: check that the Hall sensor 4 value stays still while motor 4 is switched off.
- 3Check that the connectors to motor 4 are firmly seated and not oxidised.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the motor with Hall sensor 4.
Symptoms you may notice1
