What does this fault code mean?
The fault code means motor 4, which controls the seat height at the front edge, does not move although it is activated. This is caused by an open circuit in signal cable M4+, and seat height adjustment then does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in signal cable M4+
What you can do
- 1Check that the seat fuses are intact.
- 2Check that the connector to motor 4 is firmly seated and free from corrosion.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that signal cable M4+ has no open circuit.
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate motor 4 and listen for it to start.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring and the control module.
Symptoms you may notice3
- Seat height adjustment does not work
- Automatic operation of the seat and outer mirrors does not work
