Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The power seat control module (PSM) continuously receives information from the central electronic module (CEM) over the CAN network and checks that the communication works. The communication has been broken. The fault may lie in the central electronic module or in the communication to it, so the CEM must be fault-traced first.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM), which must be fault-traced first
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM) and fix them first, since they may be the cause
- 2Have a workshop fault-trace the central electronic module with diagnostic equipment. It should not be replaced unless an internal fault is confirmed
- 3Check that the battery is in good condition and that its terminals are tight
- 4Clear the code and road test the car. If it returns without any CEM codes stored, have a workshop continue fault-tracing
Symptoms you may notice2
- Automatic seat and mirror adjustment does not work
- Automatic adjustment to a stored position (memory) does not work
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
