What does this fault code mean?
The power seat control module (PSM) continuously receives information from the driver door module (DDM) over the CAN network, and it has lost communication with it. The automatic adjustment of the seat and outer mirror does not work while the signal from the door module is missing.
Possible causes
- Fault in the driver door module (DDM), which sends the signal and must be fault-traced first
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the driver door module (DDM) and fix them first
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that its terminals are tight
- 3Check that the connectors to the seat control module are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4Clear the code after the repair and road test the car. If it returns, have a workshop continue fault-tracing the driver door module with diagnostic equipment
