What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named as a software incompatibility, it means that an internal component in the power seat control module (PSM) is not working. The module checks its own parts, and when one of them does not respond the code is set. The seat may therefore adjust poorly or stop moving in some directions.

- Damaged power seat control module (PSM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the car and note whether other codes are also stored
- 2Check that the seat fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse chart
- 3Run the seat in every direction with the controls and check that the connectors to the module are firmly seated
- 4Have a workshop load the latest software into the seat control module. If that does not help, the module is damaged and should be replaced
- 5Clear the code after the work and test the seat to see whether it comes back
