What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named as a checksum failure, it means that the internal components of the power seat control module (PSM) are not working as they should. It is an internal fault in the module, and it shows up as the memory function failing.

- Damaged power seat control module (PSM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the seat fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse chart
- 2Clear the code and test the seat to see whether it comes back
- 3Have a workshop load new software into the seat control module
- 4If new software does not help, the seat control module is damaged and must be replaced by a workshop
