What does this fault code mean?
The right power seat control module (PSR) registers too high a voltage on one of the signal wires to the seat motors. This means that wire is touching a live supply instead of being insulated, and the automatic adjustments can stop working as a result.
Possible causes
- One of the signal wires to the seat motors is shorted to voltage
What you can do
- 1With the battery negative lead disconnected, use a multimeter to check that the signal wires to the seat motors are not in contact with voltage
- 2Look for chafing, pinched areas or melted insulation on the wires to the seat motors and repair them
- 3Check that the connectors to the seat motors are firmly fitted and undamaged
- 4If the wires are intact, have a workshop check the seat motors and the seat control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic adjustment of the seat and outer mirror does not work
