What does this fault code mean?
The right power seat control module (PSR) registers too low a voltage on one of the signal wires to the seat motors, which points to that wire being shorted to ground. The automatic seat adjustments can then stop working.
Possible causes
- One of the signal wires to the seat motors is shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1With the battery negative lead disconnected, use a multimeter to check whether the signal wires to the seat motors are in contact with ground (the bodywork)
- 2Look for chafing and damaged insulation where the wires could touch the bodywork, and repair them
- 3Check that the connectors to the seat motors are firmly fitted and not corroded
- 4If the wires are intact, have a workshop check the seat motors and the seat control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic adjustment of the seat and outer mirror does not work
