What does this fault code mean?
The right power seat control module (PSR) registers that the controls M1+ and M1-, which move the seat forwards and backwards, are activated at the same time. This is an invalid combination, and the lengthwise adjustment of the seat does not work. The cause may be incorrect use of the control panel, a damaged panel or a damaged control module.
Possible causes
- Incorrect use of the control panel
- Damaged control panel
- Damaged right power seat control module (PSR)
What you can do
- 1Press only one control at a time and check that the seat moves in the right direction
- 2Press the forward and backward controls in separately and release them; they should spring back freely without sticking
- 3Check that the control panel is firmly fitted and not damaged or damp
- 4If you have diagnostic equipment, read the control status in live data and check that only one direction shows as activated at a time
- 5Clear the code after the checks and road test the car. If it returns although the controls work, have a workshop check the seat control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Lengthwise adjustment of the seat does not work
