What does this fault code mean?
The right power seat control module (PSR) has no signal from seat motor 1, which controls the seat's movement forwards and backwards. The lengthwise adjustment of the seat therefore does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire to seat motor 1
- Blown fuse
What you can do
- 1Check that the seat fuse is intact; its location is in the owner's manual or on the fuse chart
- 2Disconnect the battery negative lead and use a multimeter to check the signal wire to seat motor 1 for an open circuit
- 3Check the connectors at seat motor 1 and the control module for loose, oxidised or damp contacts
- 4If no fault is found in the wire, have a workshop try a new seat motor 1
- 5Clear the code after the work and road test the seat in the lengthwise direction
Symptoms you may notice1
- Lengthwise adjustment does not work
