What does this fault code mean?
The digital radio receiver (RDAR) checks the signal from the satellite radio antenna and has registered a signal that is too low. The fault lies in the antenna circuit being shorted to ground, and then the digital radio does not work.
Possible causes
- The antenna circuit is shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Check the antenna connector: is it firmly fitted, free from oxidation and free from loose joints?
- 2With the battery negative lead disconnected, use a multimeter to check whether the antenna cable between the receiver and the satellite antenna touches ground (the bodywork)
- 3Look for chafing and damaged insulation on the antenna cable and repair it
- 4Clear the code and road test the car. If it returns, have a workshop carry on with the fault-tracing
Symptoms you may notice1
