What does this fault code mean?
The digital radio receiver (RDAR) has detected an internal electrical fault. The code is stored when one of the receiver's internal components does not work. The cause can be excessive temperature in the control module, a voltage that is too high or too low, or a damaged receiver. The radio then does not work.
Possible causes
- Excessive temperature in the control module
- Voltage too high or too low
- Damaged digital radio receiver (RDAR)
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery is charged and that the voltage in the car's electrical system is normal, since a voltage that is too high or too low can cause the fault
- 3Note whether the fault appears in hot weather or after a long drive, and tell the workshop
- 4Have a workshop download new software into the digital radio receiver, and replace it if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice1
- The radio does not work
