What does this fault code mean?
The digital radio receiver (RDAR) checks its configuration ID against the one that the central electronic module (CEM) broadcasts on the CAN network. If the IDs do not match, the code is stored and the digital radio does not work. The cause can be that the vehicle's configuration file in the CEM does not show a digital radio, or that the receiver is not intended for this car.
Possible causes
- Incorrect CAN configuration ID
- The receiver is not meant for this car, for example a used unit with other software or hardware
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check whether the digital radio receiver has been replaced, since a used unit from another car can cause the fault
- 3If the receiver is the correct one for the car, have a workshop update the software in the central electronic module (CEM)
