Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (5)
What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named battery voltage, the digital radio receiver compares its own supply voltage with that of the central electronic module (CEM). The code only needs action if it has been active for a long time during driving and the digital radio does not work. Otherwise it does not indicate a fault and can be cleared.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance in the supply voltage circuit
- Damaged cable for the digital radio supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car; if it does not return, there is no need to act on it
- 2Check whether the digital radio fuse is half burned by swapping it for a new fuse of the same type
- 3Measure with a multimeter that the supply voltage reaches the digital radio receiver when the ignition is on, and compare it with the battery voltage
- 4Check the connectors and the cable to the digital radio receiver for chafing and loose contacts
- 5If the digital radio remains without function, have a workshop trace the supply voltage to the digital radio receiver
Symptoms you may notice1
- The digital radio does not work
